Summer Riding Camps
Looking for a summer adventure for your children? Consider a week filled with riding and caring for horses with instructor Kelly Crockett at Windhorse Path. These 5-day summer camps are designed to help individual riders, from those new to horses and riding to the more experienced rider, refine and develop new skills and deepen their relationship with horses. Youth will work with Kelly's herd of Spanish Colonial Mustangs, understanding horse behavior, human/horse communication skills, vet care, proper grooming, horse and human safety, compassionate training techniques, riding, horse economics, and Colonial Spanish horse history—plus more. From round pen and training work, to controlled riding skills, to jumping and trail riding, young riders have a lot of options.
There are three summer riding camp weeks scheduled for 2017:
June 26-30 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
July 24-28 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
August 21-25 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
The cost for the entire summer camp is only $250.00. It is limited to the first 6 youth who apply for each session. Workshop fees paid in full by June 1 (for the June session), July 1 for the July session, and August 1 (for the August session), pay the discounted fee of $225.00.
Girl Scouts participating in camp will earn their Horseback Riding Badge as well as their Colonial Spanish Horse patch at no additional cost.
